ClearCanvas Community Plugins

The sharing of community contributions is an essential part of every open source project.  ClearCanvas Community Plugins is a venue for:

  • Users who are looking for some specialized Workstation functionality that isn't in the base product
  • Developers who have written a plugin for ClearCanvas Workstation and would like to share it with the ClearCanvas user community

To install a community plugin:

  • Download and unzip the file
  • Check the \docs directory for any relevant documentation
  • Copy all the files in the \bin directory into the \plugins directory where ClearCanvas Workstation is installed (typically C:\Program Files\ClearCanvas\ClearCanvas Workstation)
  • Restart the application

To contribute a plugin, see our guidelines on plugin contributions.

We encourage you to post comments/questions and give ratings for the plugins you try.

Important: When you download and use a community plugin, you do so at your own risk.  We assume no responsibility for the safety, quality or reliability of what is contributed.  For more details, please read our end-user license agreement.

Series Query

This plugin was built to allow series level ‘Send’ operations from the workstation.  Receive operations will function on only certain PACS.

A screencast demo is available at: www.screencast.com/t/Vyf8U2puP

The DICOM standard has a hierarchy for organizing image data by many levels:  Patient, Study, Series, Image.  When images are transferred for clinical applications, they are usually transferred on the study level.  This is how the ClearCanvas Workstation transfers data.  However, in certain applications, the series level becomes more important.  In MR, there are numerous series, some of which may be not necessary at a particular time.  A researcher may only be interested in a few series for a specialized analysis.  A clinical post-processing tool may only operate on one type of series.

Requires: Clear Canvas Workstation v1.5 SP1

License: New BSD

** This plugin is a work in progress.  I hope it will benefit others but please use with caution.  Feedback is appreciated. Please feel free to take my work and build upon it. **

Rename Study (for CC 1.5)
Thumbnail

This tool functions similarly to the Anonymize tool included in the ClearCanvas Workstation. However, the Rename Study Tool allows the current values of PatientID, PatientsName, etc to be kept.  Also, this tool does NOT create a new StudyUID, so the current study will be REPLACED.

NOTE:  In order to see the new values in the Study List, the user needs to press the search button.

Requires: Clear Canvas Workstation v1.5
