Hello,

I would like to know if is there a way to export an image from the clipboard with the text overlay included.

I've got two problems:

First I don't know if I've got the text overlay data of the images that are in the clipboard.

And second, I don't know if is there a method to export the image to a bitmap including the text overlay.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best Regards,

Quique

Hi,
I'm still trying to put the text overlay by myself. It's very difficult to put the text where I want, and deppending on the image size the text doesn't fit correctly.

I would want to use your text overlay class, because I've seen that you have made a lot of work in this area, I've seen also that it is configurable using the AnnotationLayoutStoreDefaults.xml, but I need some help.

I would like to export  a bitmap with the same text overlay that appears in the viewer.

Best regards,
Quique

Hi Quique, currently, there is no way to export from the clipboard with the text overlay on. The thought was that most of the time, a user would be using the output in presentations, etc. and would want to hide the overlay as a simple de-identification mechanism (instead of having to scrub the data themselves). However, this is pretty limiting, and if you wanted anonymous data, you could always use the anonymization tool first. I've entered a ticket for this (#4141).

In the meantime, there is a method in the Clipboard class called HideTextOverlays. You could disable that for the time being until the ticket is fixed. However, the thumbnail icons look pretty funny with the text overlay turned on, so maybe it would be better to turn the overlays back on after the icon is created.

Hope this helps,
Stewart

Hello Stewart and thank you very much! It worked like a charm!

Now I have a version of the clipboard plugin that exports the image without the overlay text.

Best regards,
Quique
